Hi everyone and welcome to the Leith Family blog. I'll be using the blog to give updates and post pictures of John. I won't be blogging daily, so don't expect that, but if I can keep it up, I'll update at least twice a week.
We weighed John before his bath last night and he now weighs 7 pounds, 9 ounces! You can see from the pictures how big he is getting and how much he looks like his daddy! I'll post some of Bill's baby pictures later so you can see! John did better last night at getting to sleep at a decent hour (1:30 instead of 4:00 am). We are letting him sleep in the bed with us (apparently we are a hippy family with a 'family bed'). It's the only way he'll sleep. We currently have him sleeping in a wedge thingy with an incline, and have ordered a little bed that is designed for co-sleeping. Bill and I know this is a bad idea as it will make John's transition to his own room and crib that much harder, but it is the only way we can get any sleep right now!
John has his two month check-up on Thursday, where he'll be getting a round of immunizations- yikes! I'll post that afternoon and hopefully will add a picture of the big event.

love this blog!!
Just read the updates and saw the new pictures. Its amazing how much John has changed in just a few weeks since I was there. You can tell he is staying awake more (not just because you said he is) by his alert look. Such a cutie. Love the pictures.
