The first week of school was, as usual, very busy. My class looks like it is going to be fun, but very chatty and challenging! I'm really glad to have Jim teaching with me, it is very different from having a teacher's aid, which is nice. We're into our routine, Jim takes the class to the lunchroom every day so I can get my lunch and go use my breast pump, and then I pick them up from lunch. So far, so good!
Bill and John had a good week, except for Monday. John got up early on Monday and decided to cry all day for whatever reason. Bill was happy to hand him off to me when I finally got home. :) I didn't mind though! Bill went out to run some errands and John and I had play time; Bill even managed to take an early evening nap that day. The rest of the week was fine, though. We seem to be getting into a morning routine, with me getting ready and then nursing John before I leave. He usually goes back to sleep, but not every day (like Monday, for example!). Thursday John decided to stay up all day, so Bill was exhausted then, too, but not as anxious to hand him off to me. Most nights John goes to bed when I do around 9:30, and gets up once or twice to nurse in the night (but quick feedings, he usually falls back asleep after 20 min. or so). I think I manage 5-6 hours tops most nights, but I got a little more than that last night. John let me sleep until about 7 this morning, and then he and I went for a nice walk after he ate and I ate.
John is 3 months old today!!! 1/4 of a year old. Hard to believe!
Today's pics: From today, John in a happy mood after eating.
