Nothing new going on here. John continues to grow, although his growth has slowed down some. We've got him on a pretty good routine, and he is so sweet and easy to take care of. He gets fussy at times, but usually it is when he is hungry or tired. Both of those are easy fixes! Anytime we take him out, he is great and so happy.
Our weather has finally started to change, and with the cooler weather, we have been taking more walks in the afternoon after school gets out. John usually starts out awake but ends up snoozing, but he really enjoys the walks while he is awake.
We went out for a quick dinner last night and ran into a girl I teach with at Addison- she just had a mega-baby girl in September (9 lbs, 2 oz or something like that!) and is now 5 weeks old and looking to be about the same weight as John. It seems everyone I know has those big babies! The wife of the PE teacher at our school is pregnant, and they found out they are having a boy, which gives me someone to give baby clothes to. However, if they also have a mega-baby, all the Newborn sized clothes I already gave them won't fit. Oh well, not everyone can be as lucky as us and have the perfect baby!
Speaking of perfect babies, today's pictures are: 1) John at a couple of days old, still on the 2nd floor NICU where the nurse-baby ratio is higher; this was the first time we were able to put him in clothes and take him off the bed warmer. 2) The same preemie outfit next to an outfit John can currently wear. 3) John today getting bigger and cuter by the minute: in his crib smiling at Daddy; in his swing looking at his mobile (the tassels are making a shadow on his head); in his swing which is moving so the picture is just his head; looking at his giraffe blankie.

Oh my gosh, you're not kidding that he's getting cuter every day- look at him. I could just eat him up! We'll have to get together so I can give him a squeeze. As for my mega-baby...no idea what happened there. I ordered a baby that I could deliver without major surgery. Guess with kids you don't always get what you're expecting, huh? :)) Michele
That's the truth! I never even ordered a pregnancy, look what I got!
:) Couldn't be happier though!
